Privacy & terms
Last updated 1 November 2026
Short version: we store your email, your name and your game saves so your progress follows you between devices. No ads, no tracking, no selling data. You can delete everything yourself, any time.
Who we are
StoneBird Studios is a small independent game studio in Iceland. We are responsible for the data described here. Questions or requests: stonebird@stonebird.is.
What we store
If you play without an account
Nothing leaves your device. Games save your progress in your browser's local storage, and you can clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
If you create an account
- Account details: your email address, the display name you choose, and an internal user id. If you sign in with Google (or another provider), we also receive the name, email and profile picture link that the provider shares. We never see your password for that provider.
- Password: if you sign up with email, your password is handled by Firebase Authentication and stored only as a secure hash. We can't read it.
- Game saves: the progress each game saves (for example unlocked maps, records, decks and settings), with the time it was last saved.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. To keep you signed in, the sign-in service stores a session in your browser.
Why we store it
Only to give you an account and keep your progress in sync between devices. The legal basis is providing the service you asked for (GDPR article 6(1)(b)). We may also email you about your account, for example to verify your address or reset your password. We won't send newsletters unless you ask for them.
Who processes it
Accounts and saves are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore and Hosting), which processes the data for us under its data processing terms. Fonts on the site are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address when your browser fetches them. We don't share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your account details and cloud saves are deleted right away. Copies on your own devices stay until you clear them.
Your rights
You can see your saved games, sign out and delete your account yourself: sign in, click your name in the top corner and choose Delete account. You also have the right to access, correct, move or delete your data, and to object to how it's used. Email us and we'll help. If you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd) or to your local authority.
Children
You can play without an account at any age. To create an account you must be at least 13, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
Terms of use
- The games are free to play and provided as they are. We do our best to keep your saves safe, but we can't promise that nothing will ever be lost.
- Don't try to break, overload or cheat the service, and don't use someone else's account.
- We may change, add or remove games and features. If we ever shut the site down, we'll give notice so you can keep your local saves.
- The games, art and the Flint mascot belong to StoneBird Studios. Third-party assets are used under their own licences.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for big changes, let account holders know.
